Yoga Ward is the home of Milwaukee’s popular Hot Detox and Vinyasa Flow classes. Dean Farrell quickly blossomed in the Milwaukee yoga community upon his arrival. In addition to busy classes throughout the city and maintaining a large base of private clients, Yoga Ward was opened by Dean and his business partner John Myszka to make the accommodations.
Whether you are new to yoga, looking for a relaxing class or want the ultimate workout, Yoga Ward has a class for you! Yoga Ward offers a mind/body discipline approach to help you achieve your goals with patience and understanding. I came to yoga after being a distance runner for 24 years. I had a bad hamstring and misaligned hips, and I knew I could not continue running like I had been. Yoga Ward is, hands down, the best yoga studio I have ever experienced. Dean, Jaimi, Laura and the rest of the staff teach challenging and invigorating classes while supporting and inspiring students to improve their practices no matter what their current level. The community is welcoming and social from day one and the space is beautiful. As a lifelong runner, my hips and hamstrings hampered my flexibility. Since I started practicing at Yoga Ward, I have increased my strength, lost weight, become much more flexible and I sleep better. I try to get to Dean’s classes as often as possible. Yoga Ward is by far my favorite studio in Milwaukee. Dean and his staff have created a place where you can feel comfortable practicing at your own level while still being able to challenge yourself and learn new things. The teachers at Yoga Ward have done a wonderful job creating a nice environment and working with me at MY pace to get further into my practice. Because of the diverse group of students, it’s easy for me to see various levels the teachers’ teach to. And yes – the parking is easy even though it’s in the third ward. I am relatively new to yoga, but I have always felt welcome and comfortable in classes at Yoga Ward. The instructors find a balance where beginners and those more experienced can practice side by side and all come out challenged and inspired. I love this studio.
